Insights- Cyclone Alfred Recovery Support – Business

Disaster recovery grants are now available to small and family businesses in local government areas  impacted by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred including Brisbane and Gold Coast.

These grants will fund up to $25,000 for clean-up and return to operation costs, including:

  • removal of debris
  • replacing damaged equipment
  • building repairs
  • safety inspections
  • restocking of inventory

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to rural landholders or lessees of at least 10 hectares who sustained direct damage but are not eligible for other Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements primary producer assistance.

Eligible small and family businesses, NFP and primary producers can also apply for:

  • Disaster Assistance Loans – Up to $250,000 to support essential recovery efforts
  • Essential Working Capital Loans – Up to $100,000 to assist with immediate operational costs, including wages, rent, and creditor payments
